Essential Steps of Hand Washing

  1. Wet your hands with clean water.
  2. Apply enough soap to cover all hand surfaces.
  3. Rub palms together.
  4. Rub the back of each hand with the opposite palm.
  5. Rub palm to palm with fingers interlaced.
  6. Rub the backs of fingers against the opposite palms with fingers interlocked.
  7. Rub each thumb using a rotational motion.
  8. Rub fingertips and inner surfaces of the palms using a rotational motion.
  9. Rinse your hands thoroughly with clean water.
  10. Dry your hands with a clean towel.
