- Sentence: Group of words that make complete meaning.

Session 3: Writing Sentences
Simple sentence
- Simple sentence consists of one subject and one predicate or one finite verb. Example – Rahul sells a mobile.
Complex sentence
- A complex sentence has two or more coordinate clauses joined by a coordinating conjunction. Example – We went to school, and studied happily.

Objects
- Direct Object are the ones directly ‘acted on’ by verbs. A direct object answers the question “what?”
- Example – In the sentence “Lokesh buys a mobile” if we ask “What does Lokesh buy?” the answer is “Mobile”.
- Indirect objects are the ones that receive the action of the verb indirectly. It answers the question “to whom/for whom?”
- Example – In the sentence “Arjun bought a cycle for his brother”, if we ask “What did Arjun buy?” the answer is “cycle”.

Types of Sentences (Category-I)
- Active Sentence→ Subject performs action.
- Passive Sentence → Subject receives action.

Paragraph
- A paragraph is a group of sentences that share a common idea. Start a new paragraph when introducing a new idea.
